Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was the America's sweetheart when she was crowned American Idol in the first series. The singer has since released several studio albums. Three of them made it to the US Billboard 200 chart, however, others narrowly missed the mark. She is one of the biggest artists that have sprung from her participation in the American Idol series. As she achieved success she experimented with different genres and themes, frequently co-writing her songs in accordance of her own feelings. As a result of her distinctiveness and talent in the field of singing her work was recognized by the media and received a number of important award. The most notable accomplishment was that she received three Grammy Awards. In addition to her musical career, she has been featured in movies and television shows.
