In the month of March, Rickards was cast in the sequel to Cowgirls 'n Angels, entitled Cowgirls 'n Angels: Dakota's Summer in the role of Kristen Rose, the sister of the main character, Dakota which was played by Haley Ramm. Rickards was nominated for Best Actress in Feature at the Southampton International Film Festival. She starred alongside James Maslow in We Need to Talk[27] which premiered in May 2019. The film was written by and directed by Todd Wolfe. The film premiered in November 2020. was showcased in the FirstGlance Film Festival of Philadelphia[28in which Rickards won the award for best actress.
